About me

Originally an athlete focusing on Kinesiology, injury kept me off my feet and in front of a screen. During this time I decided to take Computer Science at Wilfrid Laurier University, rekindling my childhood love of video games and technology.

I now lead projects to build full-stack applications using Python, React and Next.js with PostgreSQL. I am a PMI PMP member currently preparing to undertake the PMP Certificate exam. Reach out if you need help with software development or managing developers.

I enjoy watching developer talks, exploring frameworks and libraries, and watching Disney movies with my wife and cats in my free time. On the weekends you might find me on a golf course or at a bowling alley.

My Experience

Director of Operations & Education

Remote

Training and managing over 100 programming instructors and leading multiple teams on initiatives such as new courses, a proprietary CMS, building Financial Reporting Tools, and much more. The biggest challenge of my time in this position was transitioning our business from fully in-person courses to online education service.

Senior Programming Instructor and Sales Representative

After graduation and exploring development at another company, Real Programming 4 Kids was in need of someone to manage multiple locations and assist with sales, wanting to leverage modern technology to improve metrics. Using knowledge gained in school and experience dealing with customers in-person earlier in my career we successfully implemented multiple processes and technical features to assist communication between the business and it's customers.

Attending Laurier an amazing opportunity, I learned so much from great instructors and met so many interesting people at both Waterloo and Laurier, I also met my wife here!
